Currently the only options available are from a set list. Much like naming convention, it would be helpful to have a list of components and you can configure your own download format for exactly how you need - e.g., Name_Description, which is an option not currently available from the drop-down.

Flexibility in choosing file name conventions for downloads is needed.
As per BS EN ISO 19650‑2:2018 (Incl. Corr. Feb. 2021)
The project’s information standard should document the extent to which metadata are to be added, as additional fields, to an information container ID when it is removed or exported from the CDE solution. In relation to this, the project’s information standard should identify the order of any additional fields. The delimiter between fields should be that given in NA.2.3.
NA.2.3 Delimiters, In the UK, the following delimiter is to be used: Hyphen-Minus.
Given the above, viewpoint users should be able to define how the files are named to suit each project's information standards. As an additional suggestion the file naming could be defined by simply selecting specific parameters already required by the software, to the extent required.

Greater flexiblity in choosing file name conventions for downloads please. In the User Download Format configuration, we would like one for Name_Description_Revision in addition to the list available. The problem with including the file status as well as these is that it creates a file/path name too long error in Windows when manipulating the files in various ways. We upload the files onto our own file management system, and have had issues with long filenames being altered to unrecognisable namestrings or files becoming corrupt. File Status is not often needed to non-account holders/managers.

I would like to add that this would be very helpful to have the ability to add additional configuration to this, in the same way that the naming convention has been implimented. Thanks in advance. This has been marked for 'planned' but any idea on timescales?

We are receiving an increasing number of requests from our Clients to add Uniclass codes to all uploads. Having the flexibility to include a custom column, i.e. Uniclass Codes, in the downloaded name would greatly benefit all users. Our hands are tied with the predetermined download format options.

It would be very helpful to have flexibility option to allow Project Administrator to edit / customise currently available download options. As sometime file description are quite long and once you download it to the local machine 4Projects creates very long file name that is difficult to save locally.
