When amending the owner of an item, the organisation will change to reflect the new owner. However without editing the item or viewing the Activity Log, there is absolutely no way to discern what has occurred.
The author will remain the same on the front end of the system, as would the creator. This can cause a lot of confusion with auditing.
If there was a column view for "Owner" that could be added, or if there was a container feature which ensured that owner & author were dynamically linked, this should reduce a lot of confusion.
