When a Virtual Container (Static or Dynamic) is first created, the Status field dropdown includes the choices applied to it from the Status definition list.
However, when that Container is revised, those choices disappear and are replaced just with "Draft" and "Final".
We have a set of Status Codes pertaining to Tender stages, and at the moment we don't get to use them beyond "PRE-QUALIFICATION" because when we revise the package (as we almost always do to include documents they have provided to us as part of the Tendering process), we can't choose any of the subsequent codes (relating to issuing a formal ITT, whether Returned by them, whether intending to engage, etc.)
I am sure there are plenty of other scenarios in which user-defined Status values would be useful in Static Containers and it's strange that they can be applied to first revisions but never thereafter. Surely this is not what was intended when providing the ability to Apply Status Codes to a Virtual Container?
