Submit Your Suggestions for Viewpoint for Projects

Workflow comments should be visible on the main screen - or at least to have an option for the columns .

workflow comments gives it a reason as to why this has been chosen. The viewers/authors could then read it. why is there even an option to put a comment? if no one sees it, or is notified that there is a comment against the nod/vote, its pretty pointless!

A complete lack of will on 4P/VP/Trimble's part to address this problem led me to have to develop a VBA solution (Excel macros) which queries a document listing currently showing in VP (in Internet Explorer) and converts it into an Excel report INCLUDING the name of, and link to, the current workflow node, AND the initials of voters who have voted and the status they gave.

Basic information that OUGHT to be available in the XLS or CSV reports directly from the system, but no matter how many times people have asked for it over the past 5+ years, it's still no further forward.

We should be able to view and report on comments and votes - there is nothing available and so like the suggestions below creates very time consuming admin to manage - this needs to be address by your development team asap - we are trying to promote Viewpoint and simple functions like this are discouraging the use of this system. Please can you advise why this cannot be developed? Asite, Conject etc are way ahead of you

recently started using 4P and very disappointed that despite spending hours commenting on consultants drawings there is no way to notify the author that you have made a comment, unlike when you create a mark-up, and that any comments you do make are not flagged up in the drawing list, again unlike when you attach a document or mark-up.

In addition to a column for comments, the comments should be visible in the emailed notification. This way people will understand instantly why a document has either been accepted or rejected. Currently, comments are buried too deep in the document workflow.

The voting/commenting process in 4P is currently very poor indeed. We have to employ complex workarounds to make the system function at all.

I think adding this as a column would be the best choice because we can then use the export as a report to export the comments out of 4projects.
