It would be useful to generate a hyperlink - rather than having to access the short code then copy/paste and then adding to the Url, it would save lots of time if this could be made easier!

This is a feature that is conspicuous by its absence compared to other systems. It would be nice to be able to compose URLs without having to refer to VP itself, just by concatenating a common path with the Document Number added.
e.g.
http://n3g.4projects.com/downloadFile.aspx?dn=[Document Number goes here]&primaryonly=true (false provides ZIP of all files)
or
http://n3g.4projects.com/downloadFile.aspx?dn=[Document Number goes here]&rev=[Revision goes here]&primaryonly=true (false provides ZIP of all files)
These could be composed in Excel or other places using known metadata rather than having to look up random codes that can't be predicted or calculated.
