There are some reports that users can save attachments directly from email but for most of the systems I have observed this is not possible. Instead, users have to detach the file, save it to a separate folder and then upload from viewpoint. This creates an nuisance extra step and a disincentive to save files to the project containers. Our office has tried several combinations of removing and restoring the Desktop app but it made no difference. A request for help was put to Viewpoint helpdesk (May 2019)and no resolution was found why some systems were able to point to a Save-As vewpoint folder and others not.
