It would be extremely useful if non-Document Controllers could be given a landing page on which to attach files they want to submit to the system as Unregistered Items, without having to name them or choose the correct container for them.
Then a Document Controller can number them (or check attempted numbering given by the uploader) and choose the correct container.
The outcome of this would be reported back to the uploader, to show them the numbers allocated and the containers in which the files have been registered, to help them upload directly the next time.
This would stop the number of times QA errors have to be reported back and would reduce the need for workflows to have QA stages in them (or conversely as in some companies like my current one, dispense with QA altogether and let uploaders put whatever they like without any validation).
