Currently if we want summaries of what's gone through a workflow to be notified to people as a batch, we have to create a Matrix Transmittal and replicate the container and recipient/Security Group configurations that we put in the workflow. Then, if we need to modify the workflow we also have to change the Matrix Transmittal.
It would be far better to have another tickbox, next to 'Notify' in the Decision/Notification nodes screens, to say 'Summary' which could be daily or weekly, or some other schedule. The schedule selection options that you see in the Matrix Transmittal Edit screen could be replicated in the Workflow editor to determine when it happens.
This would be run as a normal Matrix Transmittal but configured via the Workflow editor rather than in the MT container, where it would show, but be greyed out with a special icon to indicate it's linked to a Workflow.
