If a drawing is QA Rejected for I guess cosmetic issues i.e. file name, title, orientation - nothing do with the design submitted, to resubmit the same revision (as no changes have been made) the system only allows either the QA Rejected version to be deleted (which removes the audit trail) or document controller to manually amend each rejected revision to include a '.' i.e. P1. to enable the originator to upload P1 again.
You should be able to re-upload the amended drawing at the same revision. There is no requirement for the originator to up-rev the drawing for a QA Rejection - other CDE systems already allow this practice for QA Rejected documents.

I would usually get people to use the 'Edit' command to add the corrected copy as a Secondary File then make it Primary.
