Very often when new companies get on board on our projects, I am sent their initial tranche of documents to upload to VP on their behalf. This makes me the Owner, and the Organisation Name becomes OUR company name (not the company who provided the document).
Even when the company is on board, it's impossible to set the Organisation Name to that company. The Owner can be changed to the Owner and Company, but all that does is change the Owner - but NOT the Company! I've never understood why that is, it doesn't make sense. The person dropdown should either change both, or it shouldn't be allowed at all. Why change one part of the information but not the other?
This can have knock-on effects on the Item Owner in workflows too.
