Guidance from VfP is to reupload using the higher Revision Number or upload the new files as a secondary file, swap to primary then delete the old file which is laborious for document controllers. Other workaround is to revert the documents to QA Rejected then re-QA it.
VfP need to address the issue of QA Rejected items being stagnant until DC locates amended docs as they do not automatically go back into the QA check system following an EDIT. Document controllers need to actively keep an eye out for these documents and manually update these otherwise they stay stagnant.
It was confirmed at the previous consultation that there is no change upcoming for superseded
The workaround was to add revision notes however concerned as this workaround doesn’t align with current processes.

If the item is in a workflow, would it suit requirements to raise a task from inside the decision node? You can use this to pause the workflow until the task is resolved/item has been edited, at which point the workflow will resume.
