After attending the Summit last week, which was great seeing all the new features and upgrades coming. However, I feel that less focus is being made on what issues users are finding or upgrades that could be made. Many of the suggestions made are coming from those who are maintaining Viewpoint for Projects, i.e., Document Controllers, System Admins, IT, Information Managers etc. These are genuine suggestions coming from system faults which prevent users from having confidence or discourages them from using the CDE or the great features which are available. Some of these features almost become a redundant function when it take a lot of manual manipulation or effort which takes less time to do offline. Some suggestions have been made over 5 yrs ago and marked as in development, same suggestions are being made over and over. Personally this makes me feel like no one is paying attention. It would be fantastic if your product team could do Bi-annual or Quarterly Sessions whereby they at least address some of these and provide face-to-face/verbal communication by covering these, whether that be by advising it is being worked on, its something you are looking at or the function is already there and how to do that. I also understand a session like this could become out of hand however, having an agenda with a list of the most common suggestions raised would be a starting point.
