The current navigation structure requires multiple clicks to access project documentation:

Home → Select Project → Navigate through folder hierarchy → Find document.

For users who regularly work across multiple projects or frequently access the same folders, this becomes time-consuming and inefficient, particularly when switching between projects throughout the day.

Proposed Solution:

Implement a customisable quick-access tab system on the home page dashboard that allows users to:

• Pin frequently accessed project folders as tabs directly on the homepage

• Create shortcuts to specific folder paths (e.g., "Project A > Design Drawings > Current" or "Project B > RFIs")

• Access these folders with a single click, bypassing the standard navigation tree

• Customise and reorder tabs based on individual workflow needs

Benefits:

• Efficiency: Reduces navigation time from 4-5 clicks down to 1 click for frequently accessed folders

• Productivity: Eliminates repetitive navigation when working across multiple active projects

• User Experience: Provides a more intuitive, modern interface similar to browser tabs or bookmarks

• Flexibility: Users can customize their workspace based on their specific role and active projects

Additional Features to Consider:

• "Recent Folders" widget showing the last 5-10 accessed locations

• Ability to organise tabs into groups by project phase, discipline, or team

• Option to share tab configurations with team members working on similar tasks
