At the moment moving a site involves a very manual process that is very time consuming and it seems logical that one should be able to drag and drop.

Similar but not the same Josh. I agree with you that they should be merged. If we could get the ability to move doc containers including their contents (and indeed other containers in a project, task, virtual etc) I think this should apply to entire projects and sites also.
Is this similar to VPC-I-42? I propose we merge these two items so we track the idea in a single thread.
