There doesn't appear to be an easier method of downloading latest PDF comments uploaded by date last issued. When comments get issued in batches there is no quick way of downloading only the latest comments for each drawing. When it comes to downloading all the latest comments, say from Beginning of September to today, select the column (Revision Date Modified), then tick all drawing rows with comments uploaded and download them to zip file (page after page). This then takes all the dwg's and PDF's, including PDF's with matching file names but different mark-up content, and chucks it in one zip file. Then one has to extract these to a folder, but in a method that does rename matching file names by placing sequential numbers on the end for files that have different marked-up content. This task in itself is very time consuming and even more so when your internet speed is poor. The other problem we have is the zip file often doesn't contain the comment file in the zip download. Attached screenshot shows for example the 3 that will download in the batch but the one with an asterisk symbol is not in the batch zip file and cannot be downloaded. To get a PDF of that one commented file you have to print it to paper or print to PDF as an option but besides the frequent error attempting to open this it is a long winded method to do one at a time.
Solution:-
Can an extra column be added to accommodate just the very latest commented drawing PDF, so rows can be selected in this column for comments done on traffic lights dark Blue, Amber, Yellow and Red (which contain comments only). The Column would need to be named eg 'Last issued comment date,' so when you select that column tab it arranges the rows by date, so you can select the above traffic lights by colour and then click the download button to get the zip file. This method would be far more efficient and easier to keep track of comments issued in batches for comments downloaded in batches.
