On the transmittal screen or the notification email, is there any way we could add a column which shows a description or note of what has actually changed on each drawing? Therefore whoever is sending out the notification transmittal can write a quick note, which will appear on the transmittal list next to each drawing for everyone to view when they receive it.
Obviously it is up to the sender of the transmittal to actually fill this out which may be a little difficult to enforce at first (as often consultants do not even write what has changed on the actual drawing itself). However if there was eg. a ’description of changes’ box to fill out for each drawing when doing a transmittal, it will at least act as a prompt which we can then encourage consultants to fill out.
