Wouldn't it be better if it searched the folder which was highlighted on the left hand side bar rather than the whole of the project. SAVING TIME.
At least if you didn't know where the item was you could have a choice to check the whole system/ project

The global search box at the top of the system does indeed search the entire enterprise i'm afraid. If you desire to search within a single site or project you get right click on that area in the tree and hit search and utilize the resultant search pane on the right hand side.
