This idea has been merged into another idea. To comment or vote on this idea, please visit VPC-I-35 Definable Fixed Naming Convention instead of a simple naming field - So as to support standard like BS1192.
We have hundreds of items in 4P and when doing a specific search for all drawings for ie Subcontractors you have to bring everything up then get the drawings. There needs to a drop down box for drawings, tech subs, samples etc so you can click on one that you want and do a report not have to bring the whole lot up and have to delete what you done need. Very time wasting

Hi all,
A lot of this functionality is reliant upon a robust naming convention for the documents that are uploaded. Then all of the search functionality we offer can be much more contextual for document types, rather than just the location at which you're performing the search. To aid this further, we're currently working on an 1192 driven Naming Convention uplift to document naming on VfP. Check out this suggestion for updates.
