The ability to search for a document or document revision by short code would make relocating documents in the Viewpoint hierarchy quicker. Often times, a user will need to relocate certain documents time and time again. If an app could allow users to "save" a list of short codes, they could quickly return to these documents in the program. An extension of the Query function would be a great way to implement this search. Much like searching for a "name" or "description", the user could supply a "docshortcode" or a "revisionshortcode" and the query return the information related to that document. From these results, an app could either then access the document or if the query function was extended to return "FullPathID" like the Document query, the user could be navigated through the document tree to the document itself.
