Is it possible to add the function to the section 'Items Awaiting My Approval' under 'My Inbox' to allow you to export the list to excel, considering the function exists within 4P would it be possible to add it to this section also?

I'd like to second the comment below. This feature did use to be available, I used it regularly and it was invaluable. An action list that you can export to excel would benefit tracking abilities greatly.

It is such a useful feature in the document containers, it would fantastic and improve the usability of the inbox / my action items to be able to export to excel.
Particularly since items that are for comment/vote/approval stay on the list until the lead reviewer has actioned the item - this itself reduces the effectiveness of an action list that doesn't update with the users actions.
