It would be nice if the static virtual containers would have the ability to update the items to any previous revision when clicking to 'Check for Updates'
Right now the content can be updated only with the latest revisions of the items.

Agreed - often a subcontractor's Tender/Contract Award pack is kept in a Static Virtual Container and if at Contract Award a particular specification had gone up a revision, but on setting up the SVC there was yet ANOTHER revision, we would want to add that middle revision as their contractual baseline.
