Our current workflow is setup so that we admin check any new information, the items owner is the only person external able to see this document, if we could change this to items organisation then it would be much easier for multiple people working for the same organisation on the same project - also if we fail a drawing and it turns non visible only the person who uploaded it can revise it

Can we please have an update on Sarah Meah`s comments below please. We still have issued on sites where this is a problem because termination nodes don't allow the organization to see it, only the owner.
As Andrew Brennan mentions - A project can request the feature that allows the items owners own organisation to see items while in workflow (own org users probably not panel members). UNTIL an item has reached a termination node that is not visible, then only the item owner and panel members at that point can view them.
E.g first node is a QA check and only the doc controller and item owner are panel members in this node – at this point with the above mentioned feature activated, only the item owner, Doc controller + the items owner organisation can see the item. If then the Doc Controller QA Rejects the item to a none visible termination node only the Doc Controller + the item owner will be able to see the item.
This can be problematic if then the item owner leaves or is on holiday and their own organisation cannot action on their behalf. In general the items owners own organisation should be able to see their own items.
Please can someone look into this as it’s a major flaw
Hi, any quidance on how a company can see their own rejected items only on termination of the WF over and above Document Owner. With reference to QA stage where uploads are not for general view comment. Or is this a new suggestion
Thanks for your input here. This behaviour is indeed already configurable by the Project Container Feature 'Workflow Organisation Visibility' - please contact the VfP Support Team to request this be turned on.
John has alluded to idea VPC-I-394 if you'd like to input further on revision owner functionality in Workflow.
I believe that this is available, basically the Creators organisation users can all view the information in the workflow. the problem is when the main contractor uploads the information for another organisation, then they are unable to view the information because they are not the Creator. I was looking to see if there was a suggestion on here and stumbled over this.... I will be raising a new suggestion as dont think this quite covers it.
Good luck
At the very least, to have it set to the uploader of the revision. Currently the owner is the first person who uploaded the first revision. 2 years later when that person may have left, they are still considered the owner of the 100th iteration of that document. Manually changing this is time consuming
