Even when I’m working on 4Projects, I often get the “Session time out” notification. Could we have an option to turn this off, extend it or fix it so when I user is performing actions in the system, this doesn’t pop up?

The system timeout is causing us a lot pf problems. Some documents need to be open for a long period of time while being worked on, the system timeouts are unhelpful. On site staff can get called out while revising a document and don't have time to save, when they return the document has not saved and the system has timed out. Even if you do click save and refresh the system loses your document and doesn't save the revised version
Yes, I've fallen foul of having large uploads thwarted by not just timeouts, but even the timeout warning message. Clicking on "Yes" to reactivate your session instantly kills all the pending uploads and they get stuck in the unregistered upload list and all have to be cleared and started again (which doesn't work unless you completely close the browser and open and log in again from scratch).
This is an ongoing issue, even when uploading a lot of files at once I'll get the timeout warning (VP you ARE active at the moment, you shouldn't kick me out...).
If this happens well within the 60 minute timeout window, please check to make sure that your system's date and time are set correctly, ideally you want to sync the clock with the internet time within your windows settings.
I would like to see this function added to allow control over how long I am logged into the system
Yes this function is strange. I'd understand getting kicked out if the system has been idle for sometime. But to get kicked out when you are half way through something is a nightmare.
Can someone at ViewPoint please have a look into this to allow the customers to configure the system to suite their own general and/or security requirements! We see multiple complaints a day centered around the system kicking people out.
I imagine the system time out is already available, just not visible to the administrator or at least the user. PLEASE allow the administrator, at a minimum, to configure the timeout value; per user even better.
This would be a great advantage to set time outs. I can print a batch of drawing off ,file them and go back to viewpoint and it's timed out.
This is a daily nightmare for intermittent users. Please provide a fix as soon as possible.
This has been in development for a long time. Any update? Timing out causes many problems especially if you are working on things like Markups with multiple screen (you don't even see the session timeout warning). If you are actively working in a VFP browser it shouldn't timeout but currently does.
Paul, you get the notification even if your working with VFP unless you trigger a communication action.
i.e if your typing a long essay in discussions it will time out unless you trigger an action like upload, refresh, post etc.
Hi Catherine, you should not be receiving this message when you are working in the application. Please contact support@4projects.com if you are still experiencing this issue and we can investigate why this is occuring.
Thank you
