We need this feature yesterday. We have had to turn off the notifications in the Decision nodes of the workflows to prevent users from getting bombarded with hundreds of emails. Instead our document control group have to send a notification with the documents attached and send to the reviewers so they only get the one notification per "package" of documents. Viewpoint should do this automatically.

The single workflow notification should contain links to the files to be reviewed and you should be able to review them and have each one that you are completed with, be removed from the list. So if you have a group of 100 documents to review and you finish 50, you should be able to see that you have 50 more to go. Having each workflow only allow you to process one document at a time is ridiculous. How can you return a package of documents to the vendor when you don't know when they have all been reviewed?

I have attached the document review list from Aconex. When you click on any document link from a workflow transmittal, you can get to a document review list that shows all of the documents in the package and you can review them using the online viewer and Save and submit your markups for each document. You can select specific documents in the package as complete and then you are only left with what remains and the documents that have completed their review, move on to the next person in the workflow.

I totally agree that this needs to be looked into. A daily or 3 hourly report that gets issued out to the people in the workflow to notify them of new drawings being uploaded. Being the document controller and the QA checker I receive 1000 of emails every day when drawings are uploaded, which has given me little choice but to automatically archive the emails so I dont even read the notification. 

Field view ONLY sends out notifications early in the morning as one report, why cant 4projects have the same kind of functionality. 

If drawings have been uploaded in the same hour by the same person in the same container this should really come as one report notification. 

You will need to ensure the consultant is utilising the notification transmittal function rather than adding emails to individual files in the upload process. Also be sure to look at the email function in any open workflows to restrict your email traffic.
