As an example: Working on a large (or multiple) schemes there is a huge amount of information uploaded on a daily basis. We are not all necessarily concerned when information is uploaded as this is checked constantly as a matter of course. Certain team members however would be concerned with other notification types, such as when someone has made comment or marked-up a drawing.
Currently the only option to opt out of Email notifications is to do so completely.

Another example: if one of our Project Team raises 20 RFIs in a day (multiple projects) they receive 20 unnecessary notifications from the Viewpoint that they have raised them - they only want to see the responses in their Inbox.
